Starbridge.AI is a Series A stage startup building software to help small businesses win government contracts. Our 15 person, remote-first team is looking for an AI engineering lead. for the role is k-k in addition to significant startup equity.
Your responsibilities:
– Collaborate closely with our team as we productize new AI-powered capabilities: such as AI proposal writing & search experiences.
– Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable production retrieval and agentic systems.
– Implement strong testing and CI/CD practices that help us move with confidence in our AI system development

Technical Expertise: Advanced coding skills in Python with 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, particularly in AI/ML development.
Core Competencies:
– Expertise in production-grade software and systems design (Python).
– Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and model development methods.
– Proficiency with ML lifecycle management tools (e.g., MLflow, DVC, Weights & Biases).
– Experience deploying machine learning systems in cloud environments.
– Professional background in working with large language models (LLMs) and scaling them effectively.
– Proven ability to build scalable, distributed machine learning products with strong software engineering principles.
– Analytical and problem-solving prowess.
– Effective communicator capable of conveying complex ideas clearly.
