Role Description

Mercor is seeking lawyers with civil, litigation or corporate/transactional experience to support new USA dataset projects. These roles involve labelling legal documents and helping train a leading Legal AI company’s LLM.

• Label and organize shared legal and financial documents based on project guidelines.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and clarity of all compiled materials.
• Follow structured documentation processes to meet defined quality standards.
• Verify sources and ensure all data is obtained from public, verifiable platforms.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the project manager and meet all deadlines.

Qualifications

• Last year of law school
• 3+ years of active practicing experience in your domain in USA
• Familiarity with USA legal and regulatory document sources.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured documentation requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work on short timelines.

Requirements

• Part-time, project-based work with an expected duration of 3 months.
• Expected engagement: minimum of 10 hours and maximum of 20 hours per week, depending on availability and project needs.
• 100% remote and asynchronous—work from anywhere, on your own schedule.

Compensation & Legal

• Contractor role via Mercor.
• Competitive hourly rate of $90-$110 USD, based on experience and domain relevance.
• Payments processed weekly through Stripe Connect.
