DevOps Engineer

This is a remote position.

SUMMARY
As a DevOps Engineer, you will innovate and champion technology automation solutions for a variety of cross-departmental challenges. Using cutting-edge automation tools, you will work with a talented team of engineers to improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of the organization’s infrastructure, systems, and processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect, build, and maintain the company’s internal automation systems and workflows.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all scripting, automation, and deployment solutions.
  • Work cross-departmentally to understand business processes and technical requirements and implement technology solutions to meet those needs.
  • Lead or contribute to project delivery from idea generation through implementation.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize the health, uptime, and performance of platform services.
  • Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks to enhance delivery speed and reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience with Windows and Linux-based operating systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with PowerShell, Python, or another scripting/programming language (SQL and Groovy are a plus).
  • 2+ years of experience working with code revision tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
  • 2+ years of experience using code deployment tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
  • Strong technical skills and understanding in the following areas:
    • Kubernetes (K8S/AKS/Helm) and Docker
    • APIs and authentication flows
    • Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory
    • SQL and database management
    • Proxmox
    • Azure Cloud-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS (O365, Intune, SharePoint)
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep
    • Deep technical troubleshooting and performance optimization
  • Must work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to work both independently with limited supervision and collaboratively within project and team-oriented environments.
  • Must excel in a multi-tasking, fast-paced setting.
  • Must be adept at solving diverse problems of complex scope requiring analytical and evaluative judgment.
  • Must thrive in a multicultural environment and act as an ambassador of goodwill.
  • Highly logical thinker and skilled in identifying and resolving causes of issues.
  • Must have availability to work nights and some weekends when necessary.
  • Must be proficient with Agile principles and methodologies.
  • Must have strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps pipeline concepts.
  • Must be experienced with Git or other version control best practices.
  • Must be proficient in at least one programming or scripting language (PowerShell, Python preferred).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation, container orchestration, and monitoring tools.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
  • Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
