Overview
BrightSign, the global market leader in digital signage media players, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Lead. This role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of BrightSign’s IT infrastructure. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of network architecture, system administration, and cybersecurity to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the company’s IT systems. The IT Infrastructure Lead works closely with the IT partners and other departments to align IT strategies with organizational goals. This role will report to our IT Director.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for IT infrastructure that supports organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to IT partners, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with the Director of IT to align IT infrastructure investments with business priorities.
System Design and Implementation
- Oversee the design and implementation of IT systems architecture, including hardware, software, network resources, and services.
- Ensure that IT systems are scalable, reliable, and secure to meet the needs of the organization.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and solutions to enhance IT infrastructure.
Maintenance and Support
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement upgrades to keep IT systems up-to-date and secure.
- Implement security measures to protect IT infrastructure from unauthorized access and threats.
Network Management
- Design, install, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Ensure network security and performance through regular monitoring and optimization.
- Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
Security Management
- Implement and manage security protocols to protect IT systems from unauthorized access and threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure.
Cloud Integration
- Design and manage cloud-based solutions that integrate with existing IT infrastructure.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with other IT partners to ensure that IT infrastructure aligns with organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on IT infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment with IT partners.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading and managing IT infrastructure teams and projects.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide IT teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex IT infrastructure issues.
- In-depth knowledge of network architecture, system administration, and cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in designing and managing cloud-based solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
Working Conditions
- Will work in a remote office environment, with occasional travel to other company locations or industry events.
- May be required to work outside of regular business hours to address urgent IT infrastructure issues.
- Position may involve lifting and moving IT equipment as needed.
The IT Infrastructure Lead plays a critical role in ensuring that an organization’s IT systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with business goals. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to manage the complexities of modern IT infrastructure.
The range for this role is between $110,000 and $120,000, with bonus opportunity. The actual salary may vary based on experience, credentials, qualifications, and location.
