Role Description

The Business Analyst will help drive the success of the business by providing business analyses and analytical solutions to guide management and operational decision-making.

  • Work on projects dealing with key performance metrics tracking, financial and business assessments of potential strategic initiatives, business forecasting and modelling, merchandising and other ad hoc requests.
  • Develop recommendations that assist business decisions pertaining to owner/customer behavior, inventory/business performance, campaign management, and Marketing spend decisions.
  • Define which data will be needed to understand product and business performance, and to answer questions posed by stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence Team to create meaningful and insightful reporting that tracks and measures performance across a variety of business units.
  • Responsible for collection, cleaning and processing of data to identify patterns and trends to answer business questions and improve decision-making process.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to all levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members as well as external teams in sales and marketing, finance, inventory/revenue management and others on projects and new business initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, or closely related field.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to extract, manipulate and analyze data to provide strategic and actionable insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Travel/Hospitality experience a plus, but not required.
  • Diligent, driven and demonstrates intellectual curiosity driving high quality analytical insights.
  • Ability to combine technical expertise with business acumen and communication skill to design, develop and communicate solutions to complex business problems.
  • Educational or work experience in utilizing quantitative data analysis, statistics & data mining to solve business problems.
  • Strong knowledge of programming language such as SAS, SQL, Snowflake or Python.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.
  • Sufficient in one of the advanced visualization tools is a plus: Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Two (2) years of experience in an analytical role in sales & marketing, finance, inventory/revenue management, strategy, consulting or related field.
  • Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
