Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research organization to engage professionals with advanced expertise in healthcare administration. This
full-time
opportunity focuses on training and refining cutting-edge AI systems by providing expert data annotations and analytical insights within healthcare and administrative contexts.
As an AI Healthcare and Administration Data Specialist, you will apply your knowledge of patient care coordination, medical billing, administrative workflows, and healthcare operations to help develop AI models that accurately understand and represent real-world healthcare systems. You will work closely with technical teams to refine annotation tools, curate impactful datasets, and contribute to innovative model training processes.
Key Responsibilities

Use proprietary software to annotate and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to healthcare and administration

Deliver curated, high-quality data for projects involving patient care coordination, billing, and operational workflows

Collaborate with technical teams to design and improve annotation tools and task structures

Support the development and training of new AI systems through expert feedback and analysis

Select and analyze complex administrative and healthcare problems to improve AI model accuracy

Interpret and execute evolving task instructions with precision, consistency, and adaptability
Qualifications

Professional experience in healthcare administration or related fields such as medical office management, health services coordination, or administrative operations

Strong proficiency in written and verbal English

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

Ability to make independent decisions with limited data

Deep interest in innovation and technological progress within healthcare operations
Preferred Backgrounds

Relevant certification such as Certified Medical Manager (CMM), Certified Professional in Healthcare Management (CPHM), or equivalent credential

Experience mentoring or training others in healthcare administration or operational practices

Familiarity with AI model training or data annotation workflows

Comfort participating in text, audio, or video-based data collection
More About the Opportunity

Remote or in-person (Palo Alto, CA); in-office requires 5 days per week, remote positions require strong self-motivation

Initial schedule: 9:00am–5:30pm PST for the first two weeks of training; then 9:00am–5:30pm in your local timezone

Personal computer must be a Chromebook, Mac (macOS 11+) or Windows 10+ device

Reliable smartphone access required

U.S.-based applicants must reside outside of Wyoming and Illinois
Compensation & Benefits

$45–100 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location

International pay rates available upon request
