About the job
As our new Senior Data Analyst, you’ll bring your analytical prowess and curiosity to work with you, day in, day out. You’ll be an expert at what you do and know exactly how to use your skills to derive actionable insights that drive business decisions and improve customer outcomes. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs, transform complex data, develop analytical solutions, and communicate findings effectively. What you’ll be doing for us
The mission statement of the Strategy & Analytics team is “To improve customer and business outcomes by ensuring the sourcing of the most relevant intelligence, and its optimal deployment”. We aim to be a leading force in creating value for the customer and the business, through best-in-class analytics and decisioning that shape the product offering, as well as corporate strategy.
A day in the life of this role could look like…
- Analyzing complex datasets to uncover customer behavior patterns and product performance insights, translating these findings into clear recommendations for stakeholders
- Designing and helping to build automated dashboards and reports in tools like Power BI or Tableau to track key business metrics and support data-driven decision making
- Collaborating with business teams to understand their analytical needs and develop solutions that drive business value
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract and analyze data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, telling compelling stories with data that drive action
- Analysing market trends and competitive landscape
You’ll also have the chance to get involved in other projects like:
- Evaluating the potential impact of greenfield projects, such as the integration of new products
- Set up analytical framework for new products or enhance the existing ones by suggesting new KPIs / analyses
- Understanding the key drivers behind past business performance and succinctly articulating the story to the board
- Contributing to the design and implementation of our machine learning and predictive analytics initiatives
Skills-wise, you’ll have:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles
- Advanced skills in SQL and Excel
- Knowledge of Python for data analysis
- Experience with statistical analysis and data manipulation
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience in financial services or fintech sector
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Strong commercial acumen with understanding of key business metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great people skills
- Highly proactive – you love to take ownership of everything you do
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Previous experience in the digital consumer credit space
- Experience using Google Analytics / other market insight platforms
- Experience with data transformation tools and practices (e.g., dbt, Spark SQL) to build and maintain basic data pipelines
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Databricks)
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and applications
- Background in mathematics, business analytics, computer science, economics, engineering or related field
