Role Description
The Payroll Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processing within Fullsteam.

Accurately process payroll for all employees within the organization.

Ensure accurate calculations of wages, salaries, bonuses, overtime, deductions, and reimbursements while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Ensure payroll transactions are recorded in accordance with company policies and government regulations.

Address and resolve any payroll-related discrepancies, issues, or inquiries in a timely and effective manner.

Review and reconcile payroll records for accuracy.

Support annual preparation and delivery of W-2s, T4s, and T2200s.

Complete payroll tax registration with applicable state agencies.

Support M&A integration activities to ensure a seamless transition of newly onboarded Business Units.

Ensure that payroll processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax laws and employment standards and company policies.

Prepare and review required payroll-related reports such as tax filings, W-2s and T4s, and other regulatory documents.

Maintain accurate payroll records and address discrepancies promptly.

Assist with compliance matters including multi-state/multi-jurisdiction tax withholding, garnishments, and key annual audits.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits within established service level timelines.

Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data.

Collaborate with Accounting and the HR department to address payroll-related concerns or errors.

Assist employees with understanding of payroll changes or adjustments.

Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes.

Work closely with the HRIS team to enhance Workday functionality, automate processes, and troubleshoot any system-related issues.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.

2–3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state, multi-entity environment.

Workday Payroll experience is required.

Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state payroll laws; exposure to Canadian payroll laws preferred.

Knowledge of and adherence to Compliance regulations.

Experience with payroll tax setup and registration.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with problem-solving skills to manage priorities effectively.

Advanced Analytical and Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
Requirements

Proficiency with Workday Payroll required; experience with payroll tax registration and multi-jurisdictional compliance.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and resolve complex payroll issues.

High degree of accuracy and thoroughness in processing and reviewing payroll data.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and contribute to time-sensitive initiatives like tax filings and M&A integrations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across departments and handle employee inquiries professionally.

Trusted to handle sensitive compensation data and ensure compliance with privacy standards.
