Position Overview:
Breadstack is seeking a highly skilled Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. This role is critical in creating innovative, custom WordPress solutions that empower dispensaries to elevate their digital presence. The ideal candidate is a master in custom WordPress development, with extensive experience in building themes, plugins, and seamless integrations, while maintaining a strong focus on performance, user experience, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
+Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to our dispensary clients.
+Translate design files into pixel-perfect, responsive layouts using modern frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind.
+ Develop robust backend solutions with PHP, WordPress Codex, and custom API integrations.
+ Ensure high-performing websites with exceptional Lighthouse scores and SEO optimization.
+ Seamlessly connect WordPress websites with cannabis POS systems and third-party tools using APIs, XML, and JSON.
+ Work closely with designers, project managers, and developers to deliver exceptional client solutions.
+ Utilize Git for efficient version control and team collaboration.
+ Stay ahead of industry trends and propose innovative solutions to enhance our products and services.

Must-Have Qualifications:
Technical Skills:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
Expertise in:
PHP and WordPress Codex
JavaScript (vanilla, jQuery, AJAX)
CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind)
SCSS and preprocessors
Node.js, npm, and task runners (gulp)
ACF and ACF Blocks
WordPress REST API and third-party API integrations
Version control (Git), including branching, merging, rebasing, and conflict resolution
SSH and Linux command line
Frontend & Backend Knowledge

Strong understanding of responsive design and front-end development.
Working knowledge of SQL, databases, MVC frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and container applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Soft Skills

Fluent English communication (written and verbal).
Highly organized and accountable.
Proactive and team-oriented.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Development experience with:
GSAP animations
React/JSX and Gutenberg Blocks
WooCommerce and headless WordPress setups
Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Photoshop) and design theory.
Experience with project management tools (Jira, Slack).
